DES MOINES — A two point reversal by Keaton Hulett of Creston/Orient-Macksburg broke what was a 0-0 tie with less than 10 seconds remaining in regulation. Hulett would control Centerville's Riley Denny for the last two seconds to win the championship match in Class 2-A at 195 pounds.

Denny finished second in the tournament, after placing eighth in last year's state championship series.

Denny began the tournament with a 1:54 pin over Harlan's Cale Stork in the first round. A quarterfinal pin in 1:28 over Solon's Lance Evans ensured Denny of a top-eight finish at the tournament.

Denny punched his ticket to the finals with a 5-4 decision over Ballard's Alex Macki.

Denny's teammate, Tanner Cowan, placed fourth at 126 pounds.
